Initially oriented to execute the business development strategy to approach new markets; then focused to develop the Aerospace & Defense business in Europe; finally challenged to startup the North American Operations, as well as to drive the acquisition and integration of an American Defense Service Provider.
Before, Mario Pejrone has held different positions in the private sector. He served as Sales & Marketing Director and as General Manager in medium size companies. He managed, as Temporary Manager, Start Up Projects in Italy and in Africa. He developed and executed the global strategies to advance the international business agenda of companies in the industrial sector, in the logistics sector and in the renewable energy sector.

Mark Cowan draws on more than 35 years’ experience working on complex domestic and international public policy issues as counsel for a broad range of clients. He advises corporations, government entities, and foreign sovereigns on a wide array of business, regulatory, and trade issues.
His career is expansive and varied, having served among others, in the US Air Force, in the administrations of US Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, on the Trump Transition Team, and with the CIA.
Cowan, a lawyer, has headed three companies of his own, been a senior partner at Patton Boggs, LLP, an AM Law 100 firm, wherein he both created and directed the firm’s Business Development Department and effort for over 500 lawyers. Having founded The Jefferson Group in 1987, Mr. Cowan grew that public affairs firm to become the second largest in its class in just six years. Thereafter, he was Vice Chairman of Cassidy & Associates, Washington’s largest public affairs company, C.E.O. of the Columbus Group, C.E.O. of Newmyer Associates and a Senior Vice President at Hill and Knowlton, one of the world’s largest public relations firms, where he counseled numerous domestic and international clients.

Sandy is co-founder and principal owner of Johnson Stephens Consulting (JSC), with more than over 25+ years of experience in distribution & operations consulting, operations management, and production planning. He provides broad experience in logistics network design, material handling equipment (MHE) systems design & implementation, labor management systems, process improvement / Lean distribution, and site selection. Sandy has assisted approximately 100 specialty retail, grocery, department store, wholesale, and consumer products distributors as well as third party logistics services providers. He has also designed over 40 distribution facilities in 15 states. Sandy has completed Labor Management Systems for over 10,000 workers. Sandy is the author of “Dynamic Zone Picking” and “A Tale of Two Facilities,” as published by Multi-Channel Merchants. He is also the co-author of the SUCCEEDsm Labor Management Program and “What is Motivating Employees” as published by WERC. Lastly, he was published by WERC, MHIA, and IPMO as the author of “REWARD$ – A Look at Bonus Compensation in the Distribution Center.” Sandy frequently speaks at NCOF, The Operations Summit, ProMat and WERC.
Prior to co-founding JSC, Sandy received his Bachelor of Science – Industrial Management degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1987.

David Bates is President of DQB International, an international business advisory firm. He has over 30 years of experience in politics, government, business and law. Prior to opening his own firm in 2000, Mr. Bates served as Managing Director at Public Strategies, Inc., an Austin-based public affairs firm. He also was Partner in Bayless, Boland, Bates & Madigan, Inc., a D.C.-based consulting firm. In these capacities, Mr. Bates represented Fortune 500 companies, advising them on strategic planning issues, international trade, and U.S. legislative and regulatory matters.
Mr. Bates served in the White House as an Assistant to President George H.W. Bush and Secretary to the Cabinet, coordinating the activities and policies of the Cabinet Departments and the White House. Mr. Bates also served in then-Vice President Bush’s Office as Deputy Chief of Staff. During the first term of the Reagan administration, Mr. Bates served as an official of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, first as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Regulatory, Tariff and Trade Enforcement and, later, as Deputy Treasurer of the United States. At Treasury, he received the Meritorious Service Award.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Advisory Council of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation and is a current Board Member and past President of the Admiral Nimitz Foundation in Fredericksburg, Texas. He also served as a member of the Transition Team of Governor Perry in 2000-2001 and as a Senior Advisor to the Transition Team of former Governor Jeb Bush in 1998-1999.
